Wild life Intrest
Hello Every One
Just a few memories to share about my life interest in wild life mainly birds living as I do in Kent there have always many opportunities to study this subject first Hand,
A large variety of birds both coastal and woodland can be easily found in this county, I have studied the Herons of which their are plenty on the Marshes and many resident and migrant Sea birds on the gravel pits and coast line in the same area.
In recent years now living in the country where we have about three acres of grounds I watch spotted woodpeckers which nest in the old Silver Birch every year, and many Variety of Tits which nest in the boxes I provide Nuthatch and Tree Creepers, Pied Wagtails, the list goes on.
When I was young it was always an ambition to have an Egg collection like my Uncle Harry had, he’d build this up over many years, we used to visit him up north just outside York City, This would have been in the early sixties they looked fantastic set out in these draw systems he had,
But the realality was a little different for me because I never felt happy taking eggs I felt guilty nothing to do with the law, I was not aware of the rules at that time, but the fact the birds may desert the nest. I would be happier seeing the birds reared and leave the nest that has always been my interest,
But now thanks to Avesovum it's possible to have a first class Replica Egg of any British species with no Guilty feeling and of course no Law breaking which quite rightly and firmly in place now,
I have collected replicas in the past manly via the eBay Auctions, sadly I did not come across Avesovum until early this year so now I am replacing them with these first class replicas which are even better than dear old Uncle Harry’s and they were real.
